Rich Snippets is the first of the semantic systems to be used on new generation web pages. In the Web 3.0 system, computers will be smarter and will be able to understand exactly what the user is looking for and give appropriate returns.
This system indicates which subject a web page is related. Especially on issues that are of interest to many people such as personal pages, organizations and events. The user, which is lost between many pages in normal internet searches, will find it easy to call with new generation web pages and web pages can be categorized in itself.
There are three types of Rich Snippets now known.
- microdata
- microformats
- rdfa
The easiest used in them and the compatible in terms of W3C is Microformats. Microformats produces meaningful pages without the need to produce an extra tag because it uses the css structure in HTML tribes.

Since Google is open to innovations, it supports the new generation web pages and shows the results in searches. Rich Snippet can even be made easily in an ordinary webmaster, but even though the rules that need to be followed are not paid attention, Google may prohibit the demonstration of Rich Snippets on the site.
