Why don't the priests marry

According to the Christian religion, God forbade the marriage of the priests. Since the priests are constantly engaged in worship in the church, they were seen as objectionable to spend time with family life and women. Likewise, the nuns cannot marry. Their only purpose is to serve God (ie Jesus).
